I think you must be a woman. When a man has an erection, believe me, he then has a sex drive — the penis can be a very demanding organ!
You are correct. Viagra might help a man with a low sex drive to get and maintain an erection, but it won’t make him mentally want to have sex anymore than he did 30 minutes before he took the pill. Low sex drive can be attributed to a number of factors from stress to diabetes or other physical or emotional issues that need to be treated. Viagra should be used with those other treatments, not in place of them.
Good point. You can dose me with Viagra all day long and it will not make me want to jump my neighbours wife. That woman is UUUUUUGGGGGGGGLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYY!
You’re absolutely correct. Libido and ED are completely different, and drugs like Viagra only affect ED. Testosterone affects sex drive, and if it’s low it can be given as a supplement, but there are obvious downsides to this (e.g. risk of prostate cancer).
You’re right, it’s not for a low drive - unless that drive is affected by his fear that he might not be able to perform, in which case Viagra can affect it by giving him more confidence
The average person seems to not understand the connection between physical arousal and mental arousal and interest in sex.
I presume these are the same people who suggest that partners with low sex drive need to ‘be better in bed’, or women who freak out that if her partner’s erection drops while he’s giving her oral, he was disgusted/not interested in her.
